BRINGING THAT SURF ROCK ENERGY TO THE TABLE THAT WE ALL ADORE - Ashes To Amber returns with his latest single “1976 Horror Movie Chick”. Following his summer EP, Miss Future, “1976 Horror Movie Chick” starts off with a slow though groovy flow, quickly picking up the pace with a chorus that’s sure to get stuck in your head. A mix of lush production and a prominent lead guitar, the track keeps up a charming pace, even finishing off with a guitar solo and jam session. The song showcases the rich instrumental side of Ashes To Amber, an element key to the surf-rock feel. The musical project of Kane Acosta, Ashes To Amber provides a feel good soundtrack for his listeners, with “1976 Horror Movie Chick” adding to his growing discography.

Tapping into his Orange County roots, Acosta has been releasing his psychedelic pop music since 2018, starting off with the release of his Voodoo Blu EP. After writing and recording music since he was eight years old, Acosta started finding that groovy sound once he met producer and collaborator TJ Wee in 2018. Despite his tracks often featuring more dark lyrics, the upbeat and fun flow of Ashes To Amber creates a space for the listener to temporarily escape into at ease state of mind.

With a foundation in electronic music, Acosta has been able to translate his knowledge and passion for production to shape the full sound of Ashes To Amber. Though often centering around a vibey lead guitar, his tracks are always filled with a variety of charming instrumentals creating that surf rock feel. Through his music, Acosta hopes to touch on “human existence as to what we do, and who we are, and everything in between. The simple nuances in life. To long presses of sadness. Overwhelming joy. Where do all of our feelings differ from and come from?”.
