THE DRIVER ERA PUT ON A STELLAR PERFORMANCE AT THE SHORELINE AMPITHEATER IN MOUNTAIN VIEW - marking one of the best shows I’ve covered this year. A huge standout for me had to be the phenomenal performance from Ross Lynch. His stage presence, energy, and consistent connection with the crowd throughout the show really set the vibe all night. No shade to  Rocky, who put on an amazing show as well, but it was Ross’s flashy, upfront frontman style that truly brought the show to life. Their Obsession Tour setlist featured tracks from their latest album alongside favorites like “Touch,” “Better,” and “I’d Rather Die”. My favorite track of the night had to be “Over again” which is off the deluxe version of the album and honestly an underrated song from the album in my opinion.

What struck me most was how captivating the performance felt—Driver Era didn’t just play songs; they created a genuine experience that made the show feel like a small up close show vs the big amphitheater it was in. The lighting design was a photographer’s dream, with not only all the cool colors that come with shows, but nice clean white light throughout the show which is something that is rare in the concert space. By the end of the night, I was totally as the fans say “in my Driver Era” coming out a much bigger fan than when I came in. The show hit that perfect sweet spot—nostalgic yet fresh, with production so on-point it felt like it lifted every single moment. I’m already ready for their next music adventure and excited to see them continue to blow up.
