Now Listening: This Week's Tracks

Alex Amor - โ€œMutualโ€

Like a bright summer day full of anticipation, โ€œMutualโ€ brings a fun thrill to the daytime. Coming from suburban Glasgow, Alex Amor releases the track from her project Summer is sweet with you. The project coincides with a series of debut live shows in Bristol, Nottingham, and liverpool.

In โ€œMutualโ€, the Scottish musician expresses that life is too short to play it safe. The track entices listeners to open themselves up to potentials and possibilities, hoping that it will pay off later. With bright guitar strumming in the daylight, the track leaves a warm feeling ringing in your head and ready to take a risk.

Claudia Fenoglio - โ€œ19 Againโ€

After taking a brief break from creating music in order to complete her studies at the University of Leeds, dream pop singer/songwriter Claudia Fenoglio is back with her brand new nostalgically sentimental track, โ€œ19 Againโ€. Following her success from her previous releases โ€œWasteโ€, which received more than 300,000 streams within the first month and being featured in a session performance for BBC Introducing for her song โ€œOver Nowโ€. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Olivia Rodrigo and Sharon Van Etten, Fenoglio molds together her serene vocals and intimate lyrics to generate the unwanted feeling of falling back into the emotions youโ€™ve felt when you were younger. With a soothing acoustic guitar and her delicate vocals, she easily pulls you in and rids the listener of any anxieties that life brings you.

Kean Kavanagh - โ€œSummer Nightsโ€

โ€œSummer Nightsโ€ is the perfect blend of warmth and groove that you need. The intro to the song is a sweet melody with a jazz feel mixed in that sweeps you off your feet. โ€œSummer Nightโ€ is both a dream and reality, creating a sense of bittersweet feelings before bursting into a euphoria of acceptance. The track was inspired by a recurring dream Kavanagh had that left him unsettled often so he rewrote his feelings for it through writing a song! Check out โ€œSummer Nightsโ€ and dive into the hazy world of Kean Kavanagh.

Khi Infinite - โ€œANSWERSโ€

With a wave of soft melancholy, Khi Infinite releases โ€œANSWERSโ€ alongside his debut Album TAKE WHAT YOU NEED. The track begins with a light and airy guitar, moving into heavy lyrics and a heavy beat. The Virginia Beach 20-year-old sings about friendship, sex, money, and happiness, taking life as it comes to him.

The 3-minute track embodies the feeling of pining for answers and yearning for something more. Infinite blurs genre lines in โ€œANSWERS,โ€ and takes to youtube with the songs music video, visually confirming the solemn undertone of the track. With 10 songs on TAKE WHAT YOU NEED, there is a song for everyone to enjoy.

girlhouse - โ€œboundary issuesโ€

Girlhouse is speaking her truth about the things women go through. The constant image of being crazy or too much and opinions from men that arenโ€™t necessary. Through her song, โ€œboundary issues,โ€ she touches on how she feels about it. The song is full of powerful instrumentals that have a visible rage through them but also airy and strong vocals to move everything along calmly. Itโ€™s a track that has a lot of power to it in every aspect. โ€œBoundary issuesโ€ sums up the feeling of girlhouse and only keeps us guessing what's next.

Lร˜Lร˜ - โ€œu look stupidโ€

โ€œU look stupidโ€ is the track that everyone needs in the life. The title already speaks a lot of volumes but as you listen to the song, itโ€™s flow of emotions through instrumentals and exciting elements of power. Grunge-esque elements play along as Lร˜Lร˜ gives her ex a feel of what sheโ€™s thinking. The track is about standing up for yourself and not letting โ€œstupid peopleโ€ get you down.
