brother bird - “something better”

Nashville-based brother bird, led by Caroline Glaser, drops "Something Better," a confessional anthem marked by satire and dissatisfaction, emerging from deep despair. This song, a creative transformation of grim emotions, utilizes playful tones and satirical lyrics as armor against life's harsh realities.

This track is a glimpse into brother bird's upcoming album, "Another Year," slated for release on March 8, 2024, via Easy Does It Records. Co-produced and written by Glaser with Owen Lewis, the album weaves influences from the Cranberries, Mazzy Star, and Big Thief, delving into the common theme of waiting for something to happen. The music, residing in intimate spaces, provides a raw portrayal of human experiences.

DRAUVE - “BIG STAR”

In the pursuit of stardom, Drauve's latest single, "Big Star," narrates the common story of a small-town artist grappling with the harsh realities of Los Angeles. Vocalist and producer Victoria, having moved to LA in 2020, found herself trapped in a cycle of comparison, feeling less experienced than peers from music hubs. The song emerged from a moment of vulnerability, spurred by witnessing another musician attain a coveted opportunity. A track from Drauve's upcoming debut album inspired by the Pennsylvania DIY scene, "Big Star" ironically led Victoria to embrace her small-town roots after years of comparison.

MICHAEL ISAACK - “hey boy”

In Michael Isaak's latest single, "hey boy," he crafts a poignant ode to his youth, encapsulating the universal experience of growing up and self-discovery. Serving as a prelude to his forthcoming debut EP, *Forever is a Scary Word*, the song is a melodic love letter to Isaak's younger self, expressing sentiments of reassurance and encouragement. The track, produced by Owen Korzec and Michael Isaak, weaves gentle acoustic melodies and heartfelt lyrics into a narrative of personal growth and resilience.

Rooted in Isaak's reflections on his adolescence in a religious Egyptian-American community, his music, influenced by Arabic sounds and Western indie vibes, offers a distinctive voice in the genre. As he navigates the complexities of tradition and freedom, Isaak's sincere reflections on self-love and growth resonate through the soul-stirring notes of "hey boy."

RHY - “Thai Milk Tea”

RHY's latest release, "Thai Milk Tea," is a delightful addition to his repertoire of indie pop gems. Following the success of previous tracks and his well-received debut EP, RHY continues to showcase his knack for crafting sugary indie pop-rock with a distinct honesty. In "Thai Milk Tea," RHY's vocals shine against a backdrop of minimal instrumentation, allowing the sweetness of his voice to take center stage.

The song's inspiration, drawn from the artist's affection for Thai milk tea and its parallels to the charming qualities of his wife, adds a personal touch. With lyrics capturing the joy and carefree essence of the early stages of a relationship, "Thai Milk Tea" promises to be a sweet bop that not only delights the ears but also tugs at the heartstrings.
