Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival is back this year, September 18th-20th, with a lineup you’ll be getting fomo from for years to come. If you thought modern curated rock festival lineups were a thing of the past, boy, do I have news for you, because this year’s lineup features artists from every subgenre of the rock category. After moving the annual festival from May to September a few years back, the Shaky Knees team has found its stride. From post-hardcore legends Pierce the Veil to indie-rock royalty The Strokes, there truly is someone for everyone on the lineup. For those into the new-age scene, Geese, Knocked Loose, and Fontaines D.C. also have their rightful spots on the Shaky Knees bill. No matter what type of rock music you find yourself playing on repeat, one thing is for certain: it will be a very LOUD weekend in Atlanta this September.
Shaky Knees is one of many festivals on the C3 Presents roster, meaning you will be in the best hands for the entire weekend. Known for their well-managed, large-scale festivals with a variety of curated food and drink options, you will certainly be able to find something to quench your thirst under the hot Atlanta sun. Hosted in Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, the central location makes getting to and from the festival a breeze.
If you can’t get enough during the festival, Shaky Knees also hosts aftershows with all of your favorite artists from the lineup. Similar to its sister festival, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees enlists local venues to keep the good vibes going after the festival closes, often putting huge artists in tiny venues you never thought you’d get the chance to see them in.
If we haven’t listed enough reasons for you to attend this year’s Shaky Knees festival, I truly don’t know what will. We will see you in the park this September 18th-20th. Tickets on sale now!
