RISING SUPERSTAR BIZZY SETS THE TONE — for summer with a new era that’s wide-eyed, glowing and completely unfiltered. Having just finished a North American tour with indie-pop artist Rachel Chinouriri, BIZZY left a lasting impression on the crowds. Her undeniable stage presence, audience interactions, and beautiful vulnerability on the stage prove why she’s one to watch for 2025. To add to the excitement, she just released her latest single titled “I Really Like This Part”.
Co-written with Spencer Jordan (Knox, Shaboozey) and Brett Truitt (Wild Rivers, Alex Warren), and produced by Ian Walsh, the song marks a new chapter in BIZZY’s unwavering artistry. The song is a warm, synth-pop rush that perfectly and nostalgically captures the electric tenderness of new love.
We had the pleasure of chatting with BIZZY where she gets candid about creative rituals, early love, and the real reason she’s not afraid to put it all out there. Read our full interview below.
LUNA: You recently performed in LA and toured with Rachel Chinouriri! Were there any moments with the audience in LA that surprised you or stuck with you after the show?
BIZZY: My favorite moment with the audience on tour has been when I sing “I Don’t Get Breakups” because there is a call and response. It’s SO much fun because it feels like we’re all just partying together!
LUNA: Do you have any pre- or post-show rituals?
BIZZY: I do! Me and my band always do a huddle before we go on stage, and for this tour we’ve been chanting “best night of our lives” because it hypes us up, haha. But the chant usually changes each tour.
LUNA: For those who may not be familiar, how would you describe your sound?
BIZZY: Hmm. I would say indie pop, if you wanna put a genre on it!
LUNA: You just released your newest single "I Really Like This Part". Listeners can find that it perfectly captures the giddiness of early love. Can you talk about the inspiration?
BIZZY: Ah yes! I wrote this song in that exact state. I was seeing someone at the time and everything was so unencumbered—no drama, no history, just the beginning of two people who had a connection. There is something so magical about that part, and I just really wanted to bottle it. I always say this song feels like catching butterflies in a jar.
LUNA: Do you have a favorite part or lyric from the track?
BIZZY: Yes, the bridge! It’s my favorite, because I feel like it captures that butterfly summer love feeling so well. The lyrics and melody match perfectly in my brain.
LUNA: In a world filled with endless social media and constantly evolving trends in music, what helps you stay that raw and authentic in your writing?
BIZZY: It sounds so simple, but just living my life. Like making sure I’m putting my phone down and looking up. That’s when the good shit happens.
LUNA: What‘s a piece of advice you wish you could tell your younger self about being an artist?
BIZZY: You’re smarter than you think.
Any upcoming projects or shows fans can look forward to in 2025?
BIZZY: Hehe yes… but that’s all I can share for now! Stay tuned :)
“I Really Like This Part” perfectly showcases BIZZY’s gift for turning raw emotion into something beautiful. This is just the beginning, as 2025 proves to be a pivotal moment in her career.
