WHO KNEW HEARTBREAK COULD SOUND SO EMPOWERING? – After taking a year-long hiatus to focus on creating new music, pop-rock artist Cristina Hart returns with the release of her new single “Thank You For Leaving.” Raw and authentic, this breakup anthem is the type of song you scream along to in the car, tears streaming down your face after you end a messy relationship. With lyrics like, “I was the love of your life for a week at a time” and “one minute you’re sorry, then act like a bitch,” Hart describes a tumultuous situation that anybody would be happy to leave. It’s not us, it’s them.
Hart pushed for the song’s release after opening for Louis Tominlinson at Zurich Open Air City.
Personally selected by the former One Directioner and his team, Hart played a setlist full of her new, unreleased music, including “Thank You For Leaving.” The audience of over 5,000 individuals responded enthusiastically, dancing and cheering along to her music, with new fans flooding her with messages asking to hear more.
Based in London, Hart has been making a name for herself since 2016, honing and developing her craft while simultaneously juggling odd jobs to help fund her music career. Now, after winning the Help Musicians award, she’s ready to begin a brand new era: her upcoming EP, Everything I Never Wanted is set to release this year.
Reminiscent of artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Hart’s newer music is honest and deeply emotional. She successfully combines her poetic lyrics with catchy pop melodies to create music that speaks to the yearning, passionate individuals who love to love. “Thank You For Leaving” is but a small taste of what’s to come — and what a taste it is!
