PROJECT PABST IS BACK FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW AFTER BEING ON A HIATUS SINCE 2017 - Taking place July 26th and 27th in Portland, OR, the two-day festival is once again stacked with a lineup of incredible musicians. Here are the artists that we’re most excited to catch over weekend:
Saturday
Iggy Pop: Headlining the festival is the iconic "Godfather of Punk" who is still going strong at 78 years old.
Devo: The legendary new wave band will whip you into a frenzy on the dance floor and look good in their weird red hats while doing it.
Mannequin Pussy: The Philly-based band is a powerhouse on stage, and has had an incredible year of touring across the world after the release of their fourth studio album “I Got Heaven.” Their success is so well deserved after years of DIY touring, and you don’t want to miss their dynamic set, especially if Missy has plans to do a group primal scream.
The Chats: All the way from Australia, these shredders are guaranteed to melt your face and get your body moving to their punchy, upbeat songs.
Gustaf: One of Brooklyn’s finest, Gustaf oozes a unique coolness and incredible stage presence that will have you hooked on every word.
Sunday
Death Cab For Cutie: For the Millennial Sad Girls and Indie Boys everywhere, Death Cab’s top notch discography continues to hold up years late. They were true pioneers of indie rock, and catching them live must bring some catharsis.
Japanese Breakfast: Michelle Zauner continues to write beautiful albums, pushes the boundaries of what’s expected of her; her latest album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women) is a perfect example of that, and the live show is supposed to be next level.
Wednesday: Alt-Rock darlings out of Asheville, NC have released an album almost every year since 2020, and they aren’t stopping anytime soon. Their much anticipated latest album “Bleeds” comes out in September of this year, and their live shows tend to sell out quite fast, so catching them at the fest is a great way to see them live!
Say She She: Dreamy and groovy, Say She She mixes soul, disco, and retro tunes that are tantalizing and so fun to dance to.
Sam Austins: There’s a lot of punk on this lineup, and Sam Austins is a much needed contrast to that - The Detroit-born, LA-based alt-pop artist will have you grooving to his energetic, catchy beats.
