82WORLD: LA BROUGHT K-POP FANS CLOSER TO THE ARTISTS THEY LOVE—On October 17 and 18, Los Angeles State Historic Park became the meeting point for 11,000 fans attending 82WORLD: LA, hello82’s two-day K-pop festival. The lineup brought together ATEEZ, P1Harmony, 8TURN, AMPERS&ONE, BE:FIRST, cosmosy, GIRLSET, xikers and fiveALIVE, but the weekend offered more than performances.

Throughout the festival, fans could join dance challenges, trade photocards and catch their favorite groups in interactive segments. Sunday’s schedule also included ATEEZ x TINY Island, with individual activities featuring group members. Rather than keeping everything centered on the stage, 82WORLD: LA made room for the different ways fans engage with the artists they follow.

That distinction was especially apparent in a nine-act lineup. Each group brought its own audience, and the festival gave fans reasons to explore beyond the artists they came to see. At the same time, the interactive programming offered familiar faces a chance to appear in settings that looked different from a standard concert.

The appeal of a multi-act festival is straightforward: fans get to see several artists in one place. What happens between performances, however, can shape the experience just as much.

At 82WORLD: LA, games and fan activities were part of the weekend’s programming rather than an afterthought. P1Harmony, AMPERS&ONE, and 8TURN took part in “This or That,” giving fans another way to see the groups outside their performances. Photocard trading and dance challenges brought familiar parts of K-pop fan culture into the festival grounds.

These activities may be familiar to anyone who follows K-pop, but their place within a festival is worth considering. The genre’s fan experience often extends into collecting, learning choreography, sharing content, and following the personalities behind the music. Incorporating those interests into a live event creates a different kind of schedule for attendees, one that doesn’t begin and end with the next set.

The lineup also gave the weekend several distinct milestones. For P1Harmony, 82WORLD: LA marked their first time headlining a festival. AMPERS&ONE arrived ahead of their November comeback, placing their appearance within a busy period for the group.

Alongside BE:FIRST, cosmosy, GIRLSET, xikers, fiveALIVE, 8TURN, and ATEEZ, the two groups contributed to a lineup that brought different audiences together without relying on a single artist to define the entire weekend.

ATEEZ AND ATINY TAKE OVER SUNDAY’S TINY ISLAND

Sunday’s ATEEZ x TINY Island programming gave the festival a more focused look at the relationship between one group and its fanbase.

San and Wooyoung hosted A-rcade, while Hongjoong and Jongho joined Tiny Radio. Mingi held a listening party, and ATEEZ also danced with ATINY during the day’s activities.

The programming gave the members different ways to participate. A-rcade brought San and Wooyoung together for a game-focused segment, while Tiny Radio placed Hongjoong and Jongho in a more conversational setting. Mingi’s listening party shifted the attention toward music, adding another format to the day’s schedule.

Moments with ATINY were equally important to the experience. Dancing alongside fans brought the audience into the activity itself, rather than leaving them solely as spectators. For a group with an established relationship with its fanbase, that interaction offered a different kind of shared experience from watching a performance.

82WORLD: LA brought together the major elements of a K-pop festival: a multi-act lineup, live performances and opportunities for fans to engage with the artists. Its more specific identity came from how those elements appeared across the two days.

The “This or That” segments with P1Harmony, AMPERS&ONE and 8TURN gave those groups time outside their sets. Photocard trading and dance challenges reflected activities fans already participate in, while ATEEZ x TINY Island added a series of member-led experiences to Sunday’s schedule.

The weekend also brought together artists at different stages of their careers, from P1Harmony’s first festival headlining appearance to AMPERS&ONE’s lead-up to their November comeback. For fans, that meant seeing a range of acts within the same event, with each bringing a different reason to take the stage.

For hello82, 82WORLD: LA put the performances and the culture surrounding them under the same roof. The music remained central, but the schedule also recognized that following an artist can mean much more than listening to their songs.
