THE LUMINEERS ROLLED INTO SAN FRANCISCO’S CHASE CENTER for what lead singer Wesley Schultz called “the biggest crowd we’ve ever played to ... in San Francisco”, and it absolutely felt like one for the books. It was their largest SF show ever, and the energy inside that aren was the perfect match.

What really surprised me was the ratio of  young to older people. The last time I saw them in 2023 there were much older generations compared to now. While surprising, it also isn't surprising with how easier and faster it is to share and discover music these days. The Lumineers leaned into that blend of folk and pulse, showcasing tracks from their new Automatic album like “Same Old Song,” “Plasticine,” and “You’re All I Got,” segueing effortlessly into staples like “Ho Hey,” “Dead Sea,” and “BRIGHTSIDE” that had the crowd singing along with a kind of old‑meets-new fervor.Whether it was the people who’ve been with them since the MySpace days or teens discovering them for the first time online, there were foot-stomps, tears, and smiles all over the arena.
