WITH THE RELEASE OF TWO NEW SINGLES, AND AN ALBUM/WORLD TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT – musical pioneers Joey Valence & Brae are taking over the music world by storm. Released July 11, the genre-defying duo shared two new tracks to give listeners a taste of what’s in store for this new era, “LIVE RIGHT” and the album’s title track, “HYPERYOUTH.”

Combining dance elements with hip-hop influences, they’ve taken the internet by storm with their Beastie Boys grit and sound. So unapologetically themselves, Joey Valence & Brae are making a huge impact on the way listeners consume and experience music.

In their first new single, “LIVE RIGHT,” listeners are taken on a sonic journey, a bittersweet anthem to adolescence and maintaining that childlike energy and spirit throughout the course of one’s life. I’m kinda scared to admit I’m afraid of growing up, no one here wants to dance, things are changin’ is one of the most impactful lines from the song, bringing waves of nostalgia and an aching for what once was. No matter how old you are, Joey Valence & Brae’s heavy-hitting production and lyrics will leave you reminiscing on past memories and yearning for another chance to experience them.

Following “LIVE RIGHT” comes “HYPERYOUTH,” an explosive dance track with heavy samples and confident lyrics. With samples from Adventure Time to Skrillex’s “Bangarang,” this track brings little pops of memories from this generation’s childhood. “HYPERYOUTH” holds onto the central themes of growing up and the changes that come with it, but also approaches them with a new perspective, showcasing the duo’s unique and extreme talent.

Following the two new releases, Joey Valence & Brae shared, “These songs really encapsulate the tone and themes of the new album, but from different perspectives. ‘HYPERYOUTHis a frenetic, high-energy, and sample-heavy celebration of the music and artists we continue to be inspired by. ‘LIVE RIGHT’ is anthemic and showcases the exciting-but-complicated relationship we have with growing up."

Joey Valence & Brae will be taking HYPERYOUTH worldwide this fall, starting in Portland, OR September 24 and ending in Newcastle, UK November 6, with support from AG Club. HYPERYOUTH is out everywhere August 15.
