PHILLY GOT LUCKY WITH MUSIC ON SOUTH STREET when Quarters lit up the Theatre of Living Arts on a busy Saturday night. The band stopped in Philly for the second show of their 2026 North American Tour on March 15. The last time I saw Quarters was back in 2023 at The Foundry at The Fillmore. Three long years later, I finally got to see them again, and it was amazing.

Openers, Telescreens and Porch Light started the night off on a high note. Fans didn't just show up for the headliner, Quarters, they were just as excited for the opening acts. Looking around the room, you could feel the anticipation in the room and excitement as some people discovered their new favorite band.

Telescreens delivered an energetic set. Their stage presence made it impossible to look away, especially when singer and guitarist Jackson Hamm jumped into the pit and danced with the crowd. With every song, the energy lifted, and it was nothing but smiles from the audience.

Next up was Porch Light, who kept the momentum going. Lead singer Jackie Uhas was absolutely amazing. Her singing style reminds me so much of Paramore. After reading more about the band later, I learned that guitarist, Kyle Sieman, originally approached her after she performed Paramore's “Ain’t it fun”... what are the odds.

After their set and the concert was over, they both stayed back to talk with fans, making the experience even more personal. You know it’s going to be a good night when the openers blow your mind. They both definitely gained some new fans that night.

When Quarters finally took the stage, the crowd erupted. Recently renamed from Quarters of Change to just Quarters, the band has also shifted their sound toward a heavier rock-driven style. The heavy drums, bass, and guitar was amazing. Just two days before the show, they released their new album, I HOPE THIS ISN’T THE END OF THE WORLD, which debuted during the first night of tour in Boston. The new music blended seamlessly with fan favorites throughout the set.

Some of my favorite moments of the night were when they performed “STAR”, “HEADLIGHT”, and “Kiwi”. Each song brought more energy to the room, with fans singing along to every song, even the new ones.

With every pulsing beat, the flashing and colored lights lit up the room. One moment that stood out to me happened towards the back of the venue. Three girls stood together singing their hearts out to every song. Watching them made it clear how deeply Quarters connects with their fans and how a band that once started as a high-school group has grown into something much bigger.

The night ended with an encore performance of “T-Love”, ending the night on a high note. If this show was any indication of where the band is heading next, they are just getting started. I can’t wait to see where they’ll be in another three years.
